Shipping Restriction

Overview
Shipping Restriction for Magento 2 lets store owners hide or limit shipping methods at checkout based on flexible, admin-defined rules - cart total, weight, item count, destination country/region/postcode, customer group, website, and more. Restrictions are evaluated the same way Cart Price Rules are, so the condition-builder UI will feel immediately familiar to any Magento admin, and rules apply consistently across the storefront checkout, GraphQL, REST shipping-estimate calls, and admin order creation.

Key Features

  • Unlimited restriction rules, each scoped by website and customer group.
  • Two rule actions: Hide The Selected Methods or Show Only The Selected Methods.
  • Shipping method list is pulled live from active carriers only - disabled carriers never appear in the rule form.
  • Full Cart Price Rule–style condition builder: subtotal, weight, item count, destination country/region/postcode, SKU/category/attribute matching, and nested condition combinations.
  • Optional From Date / To Date scheduling window per rule.
  • Priority ordering (Sort Order) with an optional Stop Further Rules Processing flag.
  • Customer-facing message per rule, shown on the checkout page when a method is filtered out.
  • One website-wide Enable Shipping Restrictions kill switch, independent of individual rules' Active flag.
  • REST endpoints for cart-scoped restriction messages, for logged-in and guest carts.
